New Student Registration Appointments

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Sioux Falls! One of the first steps to becoming a USF Cougar is attending a New Student Registration appointment. This one-on-one meeting with your academic advisor will allow you to register for classes and learn more about academic programs.

Advising appointments are offered every fall and spring semester. Please submit your request for advising no later than five days prior to your selected registration day.

Select Registration Day

Connect one-on-one with an academic advisor by selecting either an in-person event or virtual appointment. All in-person events will allow students and families the opportunity to see residence halls and meet with different offices on campus. Virtual appointments will take place via Microsoft Teams or Zoom and will last about 30-minutes. Additional appointments with campus offices can be scheduled on all registration days or throughout the summer. Please select the registration option that works best for you and an admissions counselor will then follow up with more information about your selected event. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled events, please email

We cannot guarantee your appointment will fall in the morning/afternoon, however we will use your selected preference in scheduling appointments when possible.

Individual Appointment Date Preferences

Please list three date preferences to schedule your advising appointment.

If you are a student who requires accommodations due to a disability, contact the Director of Learning Accessibility Services at or call (605) 331-6648 to request accommodations at least two weeks prior to your New Student Registration Day.

A $100 tuition deposit is required to register.
Registration appointments are prioritized for students that have submitted their tuition deposits. If you have not already paid your tuition deposit so we can hold your spot during the session you selected, you can submit your deposit online at or by calling 605-331-6600.
